As much as I’m ready for spring, dresses and leather sandals, the weather doesn’t seem to be on the same page as me. So winter jackets will still be on my hangers for the next month at least. One of my all time favorite style of jackets are quilted. I remember when I was eight or so, I had a giant pink Lands End puffer jacket I was obsessed with. Although that coat has long been retired from my closet, and I don’t usually gravitate towards puffer jacket, I still adore the feel of plush jackets.
When it comes to jackets, I’m incredibly picky. I don’t like how some jackets make you feel as if your drowning in fabric, others you question if it even qualifies as a jacket when the frigid air comes right through and then there are some which are so stiff you can barely reach out to grab your coffee from the barista. This coat is lightweight but incredibly warm. It has a slimmer fit, so not ideal for your chunky knits, although perfect for the light cashmere sweater you’ve been dying to wear.
I love the detail on this coat, from the brass buttons to the square pockets on the front, it’s such a timeless piece you can wear for ages! I’ve had this coat for over a year and I am still just as in love with it as when I first got it!
